**TWAPE:** Commonly shorthand for **Tidal Wave × Albino Penis Envy**, a cultivated *Psilocybe cubensis* cross combining two lines associated with elevated potency. Also written as *TW × APE* or *Tidal Wave APE*, its name describes its reported parentage rather than a separate mushroom species.
Tidal Wave is itself commonly described as a B+ × Penis Envy cross, giving TWAPE a repeated connection to the broader Penis Envy family. That ancestry provides background, but it does not guarantee that the offspring will be stronger than either parent.
**Appearance and background:** TWAPE can develop substantial stems and rounded caps, with coloring and proportions differing between cultivated selections. Some examples are pale, while others retain pigmentation. Having an albino parent does not mean every selection will express the same white appearance.
Unlike Enigma, TWAPE generally retains a recognizable cap-and-stem structure. Its distinguishing feature is its reported Tidal Wave–APE combination, rather than one universally consistent shape or color. Blue bruising may appear where tissue is damaged, but neither bruising nor size reliably measures strength.

However, published measurements specific to the TWAPE name are limited, making that a general reputation rather than a standardized potency category.
